Business Description:

Dormsjöskolan is a residential care home (HVB) for boys aged 7-23 years.

We are located in Southern Dalarna, just north of Hedemora, and have our own free school. Here, children and young people live in five beautifully situated houses, near a lovely swimming lake and exciting forests. There are opportunities for fun activities and quiet moments, as well as adults to lean on.

Target Group:

Boys with neuropsychiatric disabilities as well as social and emotional issues.

We have a permit for 28 children/youths, and the permit covers placements supported by SoL, LVU, and LSS.

Job Description:

The foundation of our working method is to create predictability and routines in a structured environment, by giving the day, week, and year a clear recurring structure.

We map the child's/youth's abilities and difficulties. The mapping and care plan form the basis for an implementation plan based on the child's/youth's needs.

The work primarily involves treatment and motivational work for the child/youth.

The aim is to help the children/youths towards an independent life with functioning schooling.

The treatment work is individualized based on each child's/youth's needs and conditions.

Social skills training, anger management, low-arousal responses, series conversations, social stories, and visual support are some of the methods we use.

We are looking for someone who is creative, enjoys physical activity, is passionate about working with children and youth with special needs, and is good at building trusting and positive relationships.

The job requires you to be secure, solution-focused, stress-resistant, and have a great deal of patience.

Education: Social/therapeutic pedagogue or other equivalent education is desirable.

Work experience: Meritorious
